There are a lot of terrific nude photography sites on the net, so when I saw this one presenting itself as the best in the world, I had to see it for myself. The MetModels website has a creative design with lots of white space and good organization. There's also a great search engine, so you can hunt for models of a specific type. Choose from categories like: hair, eye color or what the model has done to her venus locks.

A pleasant surprise was the site's inclusion of some movies, live chat, and the heralding of an e-newsletter. Since the focus of MetModels is the photography, the addition of 35 movies is quite something. They run from four to 10-minutes and can be downloaded in AVI, MPEG, Windows Media and QuickTime.

Like the photos, these are all softcore flicks that aim at presenting the beauty of the female form, but here it's with movement. Posing, teasing and even some limited lesbian touching can be seen. Interestingly, each movie has a soundtrack to add emotion and feeling to the motion and gestures of the models.

The thumbnails are designed to appear like the cover of a magazine and that adds a touch of class to the featured sensuality. I have no dispute with the artistic merit of many of the photographers whose work is displayed on this site, but I do have a few comments to make.

I felt that the Egyptian beauty posed against a white backdrop became lost in the setting - only a paper doll image remaining. That's just one shoot in a sea of excellent photography. Some shots lopped off bits of limbs, looking like amateur framing. And some piled on the distance between model and camera, undermining the viewer's ability to taste the subject's eroticism and the generation of passion through a sense of intimacy.

Still, styles vary and each of these current sets contains between 70 to 150 photos. They come in amazing high-res images and can be downloaded in ZIP files. The archives currently list about 1,710 pic sets and new photos are added daily.

With this much updating and high-quality photography, I look forward to frequent returns to see how the site is reshaping itself.
